Lisa Maurel is a Marriage and Family Therapist with over 15 years of licensed clinical experience. She received her BA in Social Ecology from UC Irvine in 1990, and a MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Fuller Seminary in 1992.
For the last nine years, my practice has been focused primarily on gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered issues; coming out, relationships, and identity issues with partners and children. In addition to my practice, I am active in the areas of advocacy for LGBT mental health, civil rights as well as raising two amazing teen daughters.

I am passionate about providing affirming therapy to the GLBT community and to providing education and resources that empower our community and improve the quality of care received by the LGBT community.
